This unit is designed as an introductory unit to introduce students to the emerging world of China. Within this unit students will learn about China's earliest contacts with Western powers and its ties with Communist. They students will also become familiar with the regions of China as well as the people of China and their cultures. The students will learn facts about China and be able to use those facts to create and complete several activities and discussions. This unit will also familiarize students with China's vocabulary and its economy. As we discover China and its many aspects, we look forward to becoming a part of their world.
